The 76th Sense MVP Race – October 18th

Lebron James has played his first game as a Laker. Dwight Howard is having some issues with his bottom. Ben Simmons notches his first triple double of the season. It’s the NBA season Night 3 and we love it. Now onto the MVPs…

Chicago MVP – Zach Lavine
30 pts 5 rebs 3 asts 3 blks
Season Total: 2 points

Zach Lavine was the best player on the floor for the injury-ridden Bulls. Jabari had a solid game, no injuries and 15 points and 5 boards off the bench.

Philadelphia MVP – Joel Embiid
30 pts 12 rebs 3 asts 1 stls 4 blks
Season Total: 3 points

The Sixers got the confidence boosting, bounce back win last night. Ben notched a triple double but the Sixers still shot below 33% from deep.

Washington MVP – John Wall
26 pts 3 rebs 9 asts 1 stls 3 blks
Season Total: 2 points

John Wall and Bradley Beal combined for 46, while only 2 other Wizards reach double figures. Porter had 11 boards but was a point shy of a double double. Wizards struggled from the arc shooting a measly 27%.

Miami MVP – Rodney McGruder
20 pts 8 rebs 6 asts 1 blks
Season Total: 3 points

Overall a solid team game for Miami. Seven of the nine Heat players to step on the floor scored nine points or more. Hassan had another big rebounding night with 10 boards.

Los Angeles MVP – Lebron James
26 pts 12 rebs 8 asts 1 stl
Season Total: 2 points

Lebron lost his first game as a Laker. Mainly because he had no shooters, his supporting cast shot an astoundingly low 23% from deep.

Portland MVPDamian Lillard
28 pts 6 rebs 6 asts 1 stls 1 blks
Season Total: 3 points

McCollum and Lillard combined for 49 in the Blazers home opener. Nik Stauskas dropped another 24 and Evan Turner dished out 6 assists.

PLAYER OF THE NIGHT – Joel Embiid

This was a close call between Joel and Lebron. In the end Joel’s 4 blocks make him the more appealing pick. Joel came out like a wrecking ball early in the game scoring 8 straight points. Wendell Carter Jr. had no answer for his idol and either did the Bulls.

Season Total: 8 Points

See ya tomorrow!
